Landscape and Visual Appraisal for a new gamekeepers house within the Beinn Duirinnis Estate on the banks of Loch Etive near Bonawe. The site and wider area is located within an extensive SSSI and SAC and due to the expansive scale and wildland qualities of the wider panoramic and mountainous context, the site also falls within an Area of Panoramic Quality with the Ben Nevis and Glencoe NSA in close proximity to the north. The appraisal rigorously assessed the potential impacts upon the high quality of the landscape setting and demonstrated that through sensitive planning of the selected site and consideration of the architectural style and detailing the proposals would be seen to visually integrate into the woodland setting and the wider assets of the area would be preserved.
